Easy living, close to family, coffee shops and central city was important when choosing the site for this new home, so when a large 1200m2 section came on the market the decision was easy to purchase and get underway with construction. The decision was even easier when selecting their builder, having worked alongside on several projects with great success, there was no question it would be Gregg Architectural Builders.

Project details

The 2-storey home sits central on the section allowing for an extensive landscape design at the front and rear of the section. A Cedar clad sliding gate, along with Cedar clad fences through out the property brings a real sense of class and ties in nicely with the Cedar cladding on the house. A newly renovated pool, surrounded by Bluestone paving provides the perfect playground for the kids and grandkids on those long Canterbury summer evenings.

At the end of the pool, is a raised hardwood deck which is home to a spa pool with pergola overhead. A cleverly designed circular opening in the pergola above adds a great feature to this area. The hard surfaces throughout are all softened by extensive planting designed by Texture Plants.

Project details

Inside the home is exemplary, a large pivot door welcomes you to the property. The stone schist cladding at the entry continues seamlessly from inside to out as you come through the front door. Stairs to the left take you upstairs, however first you must enjoy the large open plan kitchen, dining and living experience the downstairs has to offer.

This is the perfect place to entertain family and friends, and on those hot days you can make use of the large deck with opening louvre above off the living area. For those quieter evenings in, a cosy lounge situated off the living, with gas fire is the perfect place to unwind.

Project details

The master bedroom with large WIR and ensuite is situated at the end of the house on the lower level, views out to the pool and landscaped area makes this a great retreat. Upstairs boosts three large bedrooms, two with ensuites and a third bathroom for guests.

The interior design for the house runs seamlessly from downstairs to up. Classic, contemporary, and calm was the brief and thanks to Armstrong Interiors it is right on point. There is nothing more satisfying than building a home for a wonderful family that will be enjoyed for years to come. This is what the team at Gregg Architectural Builders have achieved once again on this project and will continue to do so for many years to come.
